Even before "ASiB" aired, I thought that Sherlock wanted to be a Pirate and Mycroft used to make treasure maps for him.

Hey, I don't remember if I've already commented on this or not, I wanted to say that this was so beautifully drawn, I love the sepia and I really feel like it just fit with the content of the photo (yay for form marrying function!) and that I also thought you should submit it for this project that is doing. It's this book called Art of Deduction, and it's a compilation of Sherlock fandom stuff. I thought you might want to check it out.

Aww this is sweet. I really love pictures from their childhood.
I could clearly imgaine Mycroft doing such maps so that Sherlock doesn't get bored xDD
By the way I love the way you draw Mycroft's hair. I wish he would wear it like this in the serie too.
Please do some more childhood-pictures with both Holmes brothers.

I can imagine Mycroft's maps must've had to be pretty intricut. I would've loved to have him as an older brother. He'd've humored my smart ass comments and understood the things I said.
i like Sherlock's parrot.

He would have made a great pirate! I can imagine them being incredibly complicated maps which involved difficult calculations to work out where things were. Mycroft (often said by Sherlock to be cleverer than him, just uninterested in detective work) would have spent a few hours drawing them and then just sat back and laughed while Sherlock wandered all over the place and eventually found the treasure by deducing it from his expression and the mud on his shoes.
